SAP MM Academy (Materials Management)

What is SAP MM ?
The Materials Management (SAP MM) is fully integrated with the other modules of the SAP System. It supports all phases of Materials Management: Planning and Control Materials, Purchasing, Goods Receipt, Inventory Management and Checking Invoices.

The MM module consists of the following components:
-
MM-PUR (Purchases) - This component is responsible for the external procurement of materials and services. Through it is possible to determine sources of supply for a requirement identified in the system. With this component it is possible to have good communication between all those who participate in the supply process for the correct functioning of Purchasing;

-
MM-SRV (Services) - This component provides an overview of functionality, shows how Service Management MM is integrated in the Purchasing application within the Materials Management module and indicates the interfaces to other applications;

-
MM-IM (Materials Management) - This component is responsible for managing material inventories by quantity and value. The planning, entry and documentation of all goods movements are carried out in this component. Through it is possible to carry out the physical inventory;

-
MM-IV (Invoice Review) - This process is at the end of the logistics chain. It is in Invoice Verification (Logistics) that invoices received are reviewed for content, pricing and arithmetic. When the invoice is posted, your data is written to the system. The system updates the data stored in the billing in Materials Management and Financial Accounting; MM-CBP (MRP based consumption) - Consumption-based MRP is based on past consumption values.
